If you have ever received a timely card from this church it was probably from the Haller family. Their card ministry is greatly appreciated!

This is what they have to say:

“We were all baptized and confirmed in Good Hope Lutheran church. We have some vague recollections of attending church in the old church. We have more definite memories of attending Sunday School and church in the North Lima School. Putting on the Christmas plays was memorable because there was a stage. One memory--that still fascinates us--was seeing the ushers carrying sticks walking in the aisles and tapping people on the shoulder when they dozed off during the sermon. In the current church--as we grew older--we began volunteering and agreeing to help in numerous and various ways with the work of the church. In helping with these things we developed, grew closer to God and turned to Him for guidance and direction.

We have all lived on and farmed our acreage all our lives. The farm is called MYLO DOAN—MY for Myrin which is the middle name of our father and Chuck—LO for Loetta—DO for our mother Dorothy and for Donna—AN for Alice Ann. We are all retired now. Charles was a farmer and also worked for Lee Kohler. Loetta taught Latin and Spanish. Donna Jean worked in insurance adjusting. Alice Ann worked as a maid in a hotel. We are grateful to God that we all had successful careers.”

Thank you Hallers. We love and appreciate you!
