Little by little

Too often we don’t see the hand of the Lord working because the changes we desire come so small or so gradual that we don’t realize change is happening. In our impatience we fail to understand that God sees the big picture and knows we need to develop the skills and strength to manage our goals and blessings. We want things to happen all at once. We want to “microwave’ ourselves into being better Christians or to get an answer to prayer. Sometimes God does work instantaneously but more often than not there is a process time that happens gradually, little by little. It involves making new daily habits in our lives that strengthen us spiritually, re-shape our minds and our attitudes. We overestimate what we can do at once but we also underestimate what we can do over a longer period of time as God works little by little. Don’t get discourage in your journey, God is at work, little by little.
